From 1957 to 1959 Mr. Black served as production manager for the Crest Theatre, Toronto; he was administrator, 1959-61, of the American Shakespeare Festival Academy; he served as artistic director, 1964-67, of the Vancouver Playhouse; since 1978 he has been artistic director of Theatre New Brunswick.
