In the area of theatre administration, Mr. Hairston was production coordinator for the Greenwich Mews Theatre, New York, in 1963 as well as its coproducerfrom 1963 to 1964. Under the Ford Grant, he served as assistant to the executive director of Arena Stage in Washington, DC, from September 1965 to September 1966. At the New York Shakespeare Festival he was theatre manager of theDelacorte Theatre in Central Park from May 1963 to September 1964 and also co-director of community relations for its mobile theatre unit during the 1965season.
