Thalmus Rasulala Biography (1939-1991)



Born Jack Crowder, November 15, 1939, in Miami, FL; died of a heart attack due to complications from leukemia, October 9, 1991, in Albuquerque, NM. Actor.

In a career that spanned three decades, Rasulala appeared on stage, in films,and on numerous television shows. His films credits include roles in Blacula, The Last Hard Men, Fun with Dick and Jane, and, in 1991, New JackCity. Rasulala appeared as Omoro in the acclaimed 1977 television mini-series Roots, and in the series What's Happening and One Lifeto Live. He appeared in dozens of television episodes for such programsas All in the Family and Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and in television movies, including The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman and The Preppie Murder. He has also performed under the name Jack Crowder.
