Ping Woo Biography (1945-)
Name also transliterated as Yuan Heping, Yuan He-ping, Yuan Wo Ping, Yuen Woo, Yuen Woo-ping, Yuen Wo-ping, or Yuen Wu Ping; born in 1945, in Guangzhou, China; son of Yuen Siu Tien (an actor and teacher; also known as Yuen Hsaio-Tien and Simon Yuen); brother of Sunny Yuen (an actor). Career: Director, producer, actor, martial arts director and choreographer, and stunt performer. Worked as a kung fu fighter and stunt performer with Shaw Brothers/Shaw Organisation, Singapore; also founded a company in the film business, 1979. Awards, Honors: Hong Kong Film Award nominations, best action choreography, 1983, for Qi men dun jia(with others), 1994, for Siunin Wong Fei-hung tsi titmalau(with others), 1995, for Jing wu ying xiong, and 1997, for Hak hap.
